1. Don't forget that this Saturday is the May Tech Rally. Presenting will be Tom - KB3TQS. His topic will be land navigation. Tom will try to get us all oriented and finding our way around a map. If you have a compass, please bring it.

2. Thanks to Guy - N3MXB and his band of CCAR members for their great support of the Northbrook Canoe Challenge event. Things went well, and nobody drowned. Our communications assistance come in handy and was appreciated be the event staff.

3. Al - W3AHR has gotten the dStar gateway in Pocopson in good shape. If you would like to use the full capabilities, you need to re-register with the gateway, if you have not already done so in the last week. Thanks Al...great job!

4. The Technician license class is now officially scheduled for Saturday June 26th. It will run from 8:00am until 5:00pm. We will be doing the training in the Government Service Center. There is no charge for the class itself, however, if you want to take the license exam at the end of the training, it will be a charge of $14.00. We will be using an ARRL book entitled "The Ham Radio License Manual" as our text. This book can be purchased from Amazon.com. Be sure to tell your friends and family about this great opportunity. Please contact myself - WA3NOA, or Al - W3AHR to register.

5. Don't forget, we will be having an NBEMS net after the voice net tonight. It's lots of fun, and we are all learning something. Why not join in the fun? All you need is a computer with a sound card and a microphone. If you have questions, just contact Joe - K3JV...he is the guru and quite willing to help you.

That's all for tonight. Thank you all for checking in tonight, and thanks for all you do for CCAR and the community.
