Basic and Advanced Skywarn Spotter Training
Basic and Advanced Skywarn Spotter training will be offered Saturday June 12, 2010 from 0900 through 1500 at the Government Services Center 3rd floor cafeteria. Joe Miketta, Warning Coordination Meteorologist fron National Weather Service Forecast Office Mt. Holly will conduct the class. Basic Spotter training starts at 0900 and Advanced Spotter training will start as noon. This class takes place in lieu of the monthly Tech Rally.
Seating is limited and advance registration is REQUIRED. Send an e-mail to w3xe@arrl.net. First preference will be given to residents of Chester County, but all are welcome as space permits.
While an amateur radio license is desirable, it is not a requirement to become a Skywarn Spotter. Anyone over age 16 is eligible.
