EC Net Announcements for 3-June-2010
Tonight's EC net announcements are as follows:
1. I would like to thank Joe - K3JV for his excellent work this week in getting the NBEMS stations up and running in 026. Today, for the SNS dress rehearsal, Joe was able to successfully send and receive messages via NBEMS. We now have 2M and 440 NBEMS, as well as HF NBEMS capabilities on line in 026.
2. Time is running out for those that want to sign up for the Technician one-day license class and exam. The class will be held in Room 171 of the GSC on Saturday - June 26th - from 8:00am to 4:00pm, with the VE test being offered at 4:00pm. There is no charge for the class itself. Anyone that would then like to take the license exam will need to pay $15. Please have anyone interested contact John - KB3MJD. Hurry..there are still some seats available.
3. Speaking of the license class. We are getting pretty close to having the staff we need to make this happen. I would still like to have two more instructors volunteer if possible. The material will be provided to you. The more instructors we have, the less the load on each person. Please contact Jim - WA3NOA if you could volunteer.
4. Last call for anyone wanting to purchase a CCAR polo shirt. If you are interested, please contact Jim - WA3NOA.
5. Things are shaping up quite well for the upcoming SNS exercise on June 23rd and 24th. We still need at least two more operators to fulfill our staffing needs. They are only needed on the morning of Thursday, June 24th from 7:00am to 12 noon. We have two openings to fill at the Brandywine Hospital. We also need someone to be the RESNET operator. Please consider volunteering, if at all possible. Contact either myself - Jim WA3NOA, or Al - W3AHR as soon as possible.
