EC weekly net announcements for 10-June-10

Tonight's EC net announcements are as follows:

1. Things are going well with the planning for the upcoming License class. I have set up the staff for the training, and have mailed out details to all those helping out. It is not too late if someone would like to volunteer to present the material or be a Volunteer Examiner. Please contact me - Jim - WA3NOA.

2. The SNS exercise is rapidly approaching. Today I completed the roster and assignments for the exercise. All participants should have received the email I sent this evening. This exercise is the first ever of its kind for the county, and the second ever, by a day, in the nation. We will be rolling out NBEMS as the data mode for this exercise. Should be exciting.

3. Chester County is now the proud owner of a brand new Comm-1 vehicle. Al - W3AHR - was present during the delivery to verify that the CCAR equipment was installed correctly. I got a chance to see it myself this morning before a meeting. The unit is quite impressive, and the CCAR equipment is prominently installed in the passenger side of the driving compartment. We get the best location ever. Karl provided us with a brand new Icom 2820H and we also moved the 220 MHz. radio over from the old Comm-1 van. I hope to have the county provide the vehicle for display when we have our Open House in September.
