Preamble
This is [YOUR CALL] in [YOUR MUNICIPALITY], Net Control Station for this session of the Chester County ARES/RACES Information Net. My name is [YOUR NAME].
Stations with emergency, medical, or priority traffic, call now. [pass this traffic immediately]
The purposes of this net are to provide timely information and announcements pertaining to Chester County ARES/RACES, and to regularly verify radio circuits among CCAR members and between locations identified in the CCAR emergency plan. However, we encourage all licensed stations to check in and participate.
This DIRECTED net meets every Thursday at 1930 Eastern Time.
Any station having correspondence concerning this net should contact the Net Manager by email at WB3GCK@arrl.net.
CCAR operates this net on the following repeaters with active links:
W3EOC Linked UHF System on 446.525 in West Chester, 446.175 in Northern Chester County, and 448.875 in Southern Chester County. All have minus inputs and PL of 100.
W3EOC PARA VHF Repeater on 146.940 in West Chester, minus input, PL 131.8.
In addition to our regular voice check-ins on this net, anyone with Radio Email capability is encouraged to send a weekly email check using the CCAR Digital Network to
W3EOC-5@winlink.org.
Stations with APRS capability may also check in by sending a message via the APRSLink system addressed to W3EOC-5@winlink.org. Instructions are available on the CCAR website.
A copy of the weekly drill message is available on the CCAR website at w3eoc.net. All stations are requested to download a copy of tonight’s message and be prepared to transmit the message, if called upon by Net Control.

All operators are encouraged to copy a list of stations checking in to become familiar with call signs and names, as well as practice being prepared if you should ever be asked to fill in for the Net Control Station. As you check in, please state your call sign using standard phonetics and give your name, township or borough location, and traffic.
